When you want to work out longer, Caffeine can help.

Before going through a vigorous exercise, downing caffeine can help reduce muscle pain, according to a recent study at the University of Georgia. What happens is that caffeine blocks the biochemicals in charge of stimulating pain felt during muscle contraction. That’s according to Patrick O’Connor, PhD, one of the authors of the study.
To take advantage of caffeine’s workout benefits, drink a diet soda or a cup of black coffee an hour before lifting.
