Things you should have when working late in the office

How many times have you been so swamped with work that you had to stay in the office to finish it?  Brooding bachelors who are beulding their career will experience this at least once in their careers.  When I was working as an Art Director, this was a frequent occurrence.  Since this has become an on-going case, I decided to act upon it and do some changes.  I vowed to always be ready.  What I did is I made my own list of items I should have stashed in my office in case I need to do an all-nighter.  Read on to see the working man's overtime work survival kit.

1. Clean clothes
You should always keep clean clothes when in your office.  You never know when you will need to use them.  Articles of clothing include a clean underwear, a pair of socks, an undershirt, a dress shirt/collared shirt/t-shirt and slacks/pants.  If you have to work all night, at least don't be in the clothes you wore the previous day.


2.  Toothbrush and Toothpaste
This is essential  for hygeine.  You wouldn't want to turn people off and run the other direction when you greet them "Good Morning" the following day.


3.  Disposable razor/Portable shave
Lucky are you if you have little facial hair since you wouldn't need to shave.  However, most of us men get the 5pm shadow by 3pm!  What more if you putt off shaving till the following day? You'll look like a Neanderthal in office attire.  Bring a shaving cream too and use it!  Shaving outside your home doesn't give you the excuse not to use shaving cream.


4.  Toiletries
(E.g. facial wash, shampoo and soap)  Okay, some offices are blessed with showers that employees can use.  If you are one of the lucky ones, then take a nice shower and use that soap and facial wash while you're at it.  It's gonna look like you cam from your house and just happened to get to the office earlier than everyone else.

In case your office doesn't have  shower, wash your face with a facial wash at least.  No the same effect as a full shower.  But it's better than looking like a corporate grease monkey. 

There you you have it.  You are free to add to this list as you desire.  The only thing to remember is always be ready.  You never know when the woman of your dreams will come your way.  You wouldn't want her to see you like you like you haven't taken a shower.. or worse - Smell You!!
