Faithful to the “Art of fusion” philosophy so dear to the brand, the Hublot Sledge is a feat of cutting-edge technology, combining ash wood for the structure, hand-sewn leather for the seat, carbon fibre for the handles and steel for the runners. In line with the “Engineered Craft” principle, these 4 materials have all been hand-worked by artisans at the peak of their craft. The prototype was created in partnership with Graf, a company from Thurgovie, based on the “Roedel” competition model. The result is a beautiful object which not only boasts an incomparable design, but is also fast, stable, manoeuvrable and robust, and would be equally at home on the snow-covered slopes as on display in a handsome chalet.

The Hublot Sledge is the fruit of a collaboration between Hublot and ECAL, the Lausanne University of Art and Design, as part of the MAS-Luxe course (Masters in Luxury Design and Industry) for which Hublot has been one of the main sponsors since its inauguration. This one-year programme, created by Pierre Keller in 2008 and led by Augustin Scott de Martinville, offers design tuition in partnership with companies from the luxury sector. This particular piece of work was created by Philippe-Albert Lefebvre, an MAS-Luxe student from Quebec who studied in 2009/2010, based on an original concept by Arno Mathies, a Swiss student studying for the MAS-Luxe in 2008/2009, and who now studies at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London.

If you’re gonna ask me what 10 Fun Things I can Do with a New Lenovo laptop, a lot of things will come to mind. I am an Industrial Designer and a Graphic Designer. Aside from those two titles, I also dabble in Digital Media, doing online marketing and blogging. I have many other slashes to add to that and you will learn more about me with the fun things I’m going to with a new Lenovo laptop. Now that you somehow have an idea on some of the things I do in life, we can go to the FUN things I’d do given a chance I’ll be have a New Lenovo laptop.

First fun thing to do once I get a new Lenovo laptop is I’ll create a FUN blog post about my new laptop, complete with pictures of myself and the laptop, me using the laptop looking serious and me having a blast working on my new Lenovo laptop.  Expect quirky pics, a humorous and engaging post. I’ll probably add a video clip of myself talking about the laptop to make things more interesting.

Second fun thing I’d do once I get a new Lenovo laptop is I’ll edit and upload our dance video clips made by the built-in movie maker. I dance Hip Hop with a group.  We have workshops every week and what fun way to showcase our moves than with nicely edited videos done with the help of the powerful processing capabilities of my new Lenovo laptop.

Third fun thing I’d do once I get a new Lenovo laptop is load my favorite movie DVD, “Under the Tuscan Sun” and watch the movie with friends.  They’ll definitely enjoy watching the movie.  With the clear display and sound, they’d experience Tuscany as if they were actually there.

Fourth fun thing I’d do once I get a new Lenovo loptop is I’d transfer my graphic design work files to it and start working on projects immediately.  When you’re a graphic designer, you’ll understand how frustrating it is when your system could not cope up with your requirements.  Having a new Lenovo laptop that could deliver processing power would surely make my life many times easier while giving my the power to create amazing digital art and wonderful graphic layouts.

Fifth fun thing I’d do once I get a new Lenovo laptop is I will install the Blender 3D animation software and start doing school work on it! I am currently a student of a 3D animation class and with the high processing demands of this software, I am forced to work slow. Having a new Lenovo laptop will help me render in 3D with EASE! I’ll probably get better grades in my 3D animation class.

Sixth fun thing I’d do once iI get my new Lenovo laptop is I’d go on Facebook and update my status telling people about my new gadget (the laptop).  This is something fun to do coz you’ll get interesting comments while at the same time, letting them know how amazing Lenovo laptops are.  When i get my new Lenovo laptop, I’ll probably spend a significant number of Facebook hours on it.

Seventh fun thing I’d do once i get a new Lenovo laptop is I’ll do post-editing on my pictures on my Lenovo laptop. Art is my passion and photography is one of the media I use to create art. The laptop along with a good image editing software will help me create art prints that’ll showcase my digital artistic prowess.

Eight fun thing I’d do once I get a new Lenovo laptop is I’ll take it with me to the beach. It’ll just be me and the laptop on a date.  I can do sooooo many things on a new Lenovo laptop, I can listen to music, write, watch a movie or access the internet to do work or connect with friends.  With the help of mobile internet and the new Lenovo laptop with its long battery life, I will have peace by the place I love hanging out the most but still being connected to the rest of the world.

Ninth fun thing I’d do once I get a new Lenovo laptop is I’m going to call my favorite Aunt in the world who’s living in San Francisco via Skype.  We can do some serious catching up via Skype on my new Lenovo laptop. She’ll be able to see me while talking to her thanks to its built-in web camera.

Tenth fun thing I’d do once I get a new Lenovo laptop is I’ll use it as a tool to continue furthering my advocacy. I currently work with the Food Sufficiency program of Gawad Kalinga called Bayan-Anihan (http://www.bayan-anihan.com) as the Digital Marketing Secialist for the youth. My primary goal is to create awareness with the youth regarding the hunger issues facing the Philippines and the world. I connect with people using digital media, the internet, social networking and the like.  Doing this type of work is definitely FUN for me as I contribute to changing how people for the better.  With the lives I’ll be touching using my online marketing done on my new Lenovo laptop, I will be gaining new Hunger Warriors, advocates to the cause.

These are just the 10 FUN things on the top of my head that I’d do if I get a new Lenovo laptop.  I work with computers all day and having a fast and reliable, not to mention stylish laptop is definitely a huge advantage.  It will surely be a great Christmas and birthday gift having a new laptop. Aside from having FUN receiving it, it’ll surely be followed by the other FUN things I do (which is listed here) once I get my hands on it!

It was two days full of excitement for Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver. Monday, December 6th, Mr. Biver, Simon Dahan and Greg Osipov hosted an exclusive dinner at a private home appropriately named the “Hublot Villa” to celebrate the opening of the new Boca Raton Hublot boutique.

Conversation centered on Hublot’s expansion of its boutiques in the U.S. and the opening of the Boca Raton location in Mizner Park. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks while listening to custom “fusion” live jazz while viewing the latest Hublot models and limited editions. Later in the evening all enjoyed a delicious dinner catered specifically for the location. Mr. Biver spoke about Hublot’s mission of sharing and then donated two special Hublot timepieces to Barbara Feingold for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.

Special guests included top Hublot collectors such as Dr. Ken and Mrs. Lisa Rosen, Sanjiv Sharma, Sheri Sack, Lee and Julia Rosen and more.

On Tuesday, December 6th at 9 am, Mr. Biver hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Boca Raton Hublot boutique to culminate the celebration.
